One Day Dance was founded by Joseph Heitman in January of 2018 in Harford, CT. He started with one simple concept; to create dance films within a twenty-four-hour span. In the summer of 2018, Joseph re-located the company to NYC and expanded his vision for the company to include education programs, media services for dancers and a new film season featuring numerous choreographers. Since its creation, One Day Dance has been featured in film screenings such as The University of Saint Joseph’s 5x5 Dance Festival and The Dance Film Lab presented by the Dance Film Association. In addition, the company’s stage repertory has been presented by The Bridge for Dance, The Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts, The Queens Informal, The Actors Hour, and The Annual Six Degrees of Separation Showcase.
